HOW
TO REACH
To
reach Budug from Cuba is possible along the mountain
road leading from gorge of the Ag-Chai River through
settlement Tulyakaran, further through the tract Yarym
Yaylag passing by Kazhma Budug. The road goes along
strong cross-country terrains on wood slopes, the
Alpine meadows and rocky sites of stony hills Chereke,
where are outputs of marble breeds. Distance from
the town of Cuba down to the village Budug is 38 km.
This distance is overcome for 2,5 hours. In Budug
it is also possible to drive from countries Jheg or
Alik on the automobile track, which is passing through
the Alpine meadows, and a small village Zeid, where
the sunnit mosque constructed by architects from Iraq
was well saved. Mosque is about 200 years. This way
to Budug also passes along strong cross-country terrains.
The distance from settlement Jheg and Alik up to Budug
is about 15 km. It takes an hour to overcome the way.
This way, as well as a way from Cuba, partially passes
along the ground clay road with greater differences
of heights.
The most part of roads leading to Budug is unpaved
and at the most insignificant rain get soaked turning
to dense clay medley, which are disable to overcome
even by off-road cars.

and sights around it.
It is possible to reach Budug from Cuba in a car of
the raised passableness. A payment for transportation

CHRONOMETRY
It
is possible to drive from village Budug to Jheg through
Jarym-Yaylag tract from gorge of the Kudial-Chai River
in summertime and in dry weather. Distance from Jheg
up to Budug is 17 km. Time taken is approximately
an hour.

PROGRAM
OF TWO-DAY ROUND TO BUDUG
Day
I
-
First half of a day: departure Baku; arrival at Guba,
change into off-road cars (UAZ) and round in Budug;
picnic-lunch on a coast of the Ag-Chai.
- Second half of a day: Arrival at Budug and accommodation
in rural houses; Excursion to Budug and the village
Gazhma-Budug located above, acquaintance with a household
life, ethnography of the settlement; supper with local
dishes.

II

First half of a day: breakfast; excursion to falls
named by local residents "Ahjid", to a canyon of the
river Kara-Chai with visiting ancient grottoes and
sanctuary "Pir Banovsha" on horses or afoot, tea drinking
and lunch, review of vicinities.
- Interested persons can climb on mountain "Chereke"
and the tower construction named "Dakhma". (fantastic
view of surrounding districts opens from here); returning
to Budug; dinner.
- Second half of a day: returning to Cuba, wherefrom
coming back to Baku.
