Tats - one of Iran-speaking ethnoses living in Azerbaijan, mainly, Apsheron, Baku city, and also Cuba, Goychay and Shemaha areas of republic. Azerbaijan tat to the ethnic attributes, on territorial moving, dialectic properties differ from each other a little, but basically are considered as common minor ethnos. The main difference is the language one, i.e. tat, occupying different territories, speak on different dialects.

Linguist divide tat language in three dialects. The first is northern dialect. Tat population living in territory of Cuba , Devechi and Gonag villages speaks on this dialect. The second dialect is the central one. Tats occupying Khizi area speak on this dialect. The third dialect is the southern one. Tat population of Apsheron, Shemakha and Lakhij. The mountain jews concern to tats living in Azerbaijan. They name themselves "djukhud", i.e. from other belief, or "tat djukhuds". This minority ethnos professes Judaizm. They are considered as Jews. The mountain Jews live in Red settlement of the Cuba area and in Oguz regional center .
