Settlement Nijh
(Gabalah area)


HOW TO REACH

The settlement Nijh is located in 40 km to the south - West from the regional center of Gabalah. One can reach Nijh from Gabalah by trip bus or by taxi on a highway of Baku - Sheki till turn on the fortieth kilometer, and then up to the road fork Sheki (to the right), Nijh (on the left).

PROGRAM OF TWO-DAY ROUND TO BUDUG

Day I

- First half of a day: departure Baku; picnic-lunch on the coast of lake Nohur on the way to Gabalah; arrival at Gabalah and acquaintance with the town; arrival at Nijh.
- Second half of a day: accommodation in rural houses; dinner with local dishes; fluent excursion around the settlement, acquaintance with a household life, ethnography of the township; supper with local dishes.

Day II

- First half of a day: breakfast; excursion in vicinities of the settlement; acquaintance with memorials - "Jhotary" (XVII century), "Bulun Kilse" (XIX), "Geyun Kilse" (XIX century). - Second half of a day: dinner; excursion to ruins of an ancient capital of the Caucasian Albania - a site of ancient township Gabala; returning to Baku.
