The settlement Gryz-Dahna is located in a picturesque gentle slope, overgrown with a dense wood. The village is small. There are only 28 houses, which 110-120 persons live in. About 200 years ago it was a big village occupied 3 times greater area, but gradually it has become empty. Inhabitants have moved in neighboring villages or in Cuba. Ruins of ancient Gryz were preserved in 6 kilometers from modern settlement in a wood under a big rocky wall hanging above the gorge. The village is poorly populated. Inhabitants remember the Griz language, but basically communicate with each other in the Azerbaijan language. Ancient customs were retained partially.

The panorama around the village is picturesque facing a deep gorge of the river Gudjalchaj and spacious Alpine meadows. Near the settlement there is a small waterfall. There are a lot of springs in mountains around the settlement. Having rented horses in the village (total leased horses - 3) it is possible to organize horse walks on a wood visiting nearby Alpine meadows. The place named "Hin bulagi", which is in 5 km from the settlement, is famous for special beauty. The end of July and the beginning of August is a high time for fans of gathering of a raspberry. In the beginning of June and in September it is possible to arrange a mushroom campaign.
